10th Annual Raccoon Valley Bluegrass Festival October 2, 2010

The Raccoon Valley Fall Festival is no mere concert – it is full of entertaining and more activities.  Our festival grounds cover 55 acres filled with live bluegrass music on stage all day, crafts, vendors and lots of good food.  Antique cars and tractors will also be on display.  Molasses making and a museum filled with antiques round out the activities for people of all ages to enjoy.

Bring your blankets or lawn chairs and be prepared to enjoy the best of bluegrass in a great laid back festival setting.  We will have some covered seating areas with chairs in case of inclement weather.

No alcohol or coolers are allowed.  Food vendors will be set up at the stage area for food and drink purchases.

Pets must be on leashes at all times.  Please keep your pets out of the stage and food areas.  Must clean up after your pet.

Handicapped parking and assistance will be available.

On site, rustic camping will also be available on the grounds, (no electric hook-ups, water and dumping station available) . There are also two campgrounds located within 6 miles of the mvc-024s.jpgFestival which feature full hook-ups for those that require them.  We are conveniently located 6.5 miles from I-75 or 2 miles east of Clinton Highway (25W) off Raccoon Valley Road (St. Rd. 170).  There are several hotels and motels located within 10 miles of the grounds.  Numerous restaurants are also located close by for those who wish to come in early and stay the entire festival.

The festival is organized and run by the Patt Family.  Their goal is to bring the best in bluegrass to this area along with the desire to try to preserve family heritage and for people to see what rural life was once like.  They also love bluegrass music and decided that they wanted to promote the music and keep it alive.
