Wonder Works May 28, 2014

If you haven’t taken the kids to Wonder Works, it is a lot of fun for older kids. There are things for younger kids to do, but if you don’t have a brave child you won’t get your money’s worth until about age 10. With that said, it is educational fun. They have lots of science exhibits, but they aren’t too boring. Everything is interactive with the kids, but because of this I can see how it would be frustrating waiting your turn on a busy day.

There are lots of things to do that are included with your admission. They have a neat ropes course , a climbing wall, extreme 360 bikes and some other rides. A few of them require tennis shoes, so plan ahead. View the live webcam here.

For an addition fee, or alone as a separate trip you can play laser tag or go to the magic show in the evenings. I think we may go back one night this summer to see the magician. You can view the schedule here. Wonder Works also has a party room for birthdays. View their party packages here, a basic package for 10 kids is $130.

Wonder Works isn’t cheap, but we didn’t do everything and we were still there three hours. It is all inside with air conditioning. That makes it a perfect field trip for a rainy day or a really hot day. They have a small AAA discount.
