We are very blessed to have so many great parks in Knox County. Here are two great websites that share all the specifics on our parks. I have found a few parks I didn’t know about, and some facilities that might be perfect for our next birthday party.

Fishin’ at the Cove June 1, 2014
From the TWRA’s website: Every year on the second Saturday in June the TWRA allows all residents and non-residents to fish without a license. Children that are 15 years of age or younger may fish without a license for the entire week starting on Free Fishing Day and continuing through the following Friday. Children younger than 13 may fish without a license at any time of the year. The TWRA sponsors many Kids Free Fishing Day events and stocks thousand of pounds of catfish to help make the events quality experiences for young anglers.
Here in Knox County the event is at The Cove off Northshore. Click here for other counties.
